Apr.2012 - Update on the Status of Hong Kong Tax Treaties
Since our last Hong Kong tax news on the above subject, there are further development on the Hong Kong tax treaty network.
Hong Kong has entered into comprehensive double taxation agreements (“CDTA”) with 2 more countries, i.e. Malta and Jersey in November last year and February this year respectively. Furthermore, 6 CDTAs previously pending ratification procedures have become in force, i.e. CDTAs with Czech Republic, France, Indonesia, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Spain.
