2013 French fashion and luxury study

To strengthen the competitiveness of the fashion and luxury industry value-chains, a committee led by the French Ministry in charge of competitiveness, industry and services* has commissioned Mazars to conduct a study to “identify all French fashion and luxury industry players and map their contributions to external trade” – a first step in the major challenge of ensuring the industry’s sustainability.

Starting with a global vision of the industrial structure, Mazars, aware of the made in France label value, led a discussion regarding the future of the industry.

Conducted in the first half of 2013, this study is based on interviews with 52 private players and 15 institutional actors (associations, unions, Chambers of Commerce and Industry ...). The scope of this study includes personal fashion and luxury goods, excluding perfume and cosmetics.
